CU LAW 2020 ELIGIBILIY

• 10+2 Or Senior Secondary or Higher Secondary or its Equivalent from a COBSE recognised Boards and Boards are Mandatory recognised by Calcutta University.
• For General Category Candidates 45% Marks in best 4 Subjects (Excluding Environmental Studies of WBCHSE).
• For SC/ST/PWD Category Candidates 40% Marks in best 4 Subjects (Excluding Environmental Studies of WBCHSE).
• For PWD (Person with Disability) Candidates Disability Should be 40% or more.
• Candidates who are passed from 10+2 or Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or equivalent from Below these following Boards are not required any equivalency Certificate from CU.

3. WBCHSE
4. NIOS (National Institute for Open School)
5. RMV ( Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya)
• Apart from theses above 5 Boards, all Boards mandatory required “Equivalency Certificate” from The Office of
The Registrar (Equivalence Section)

• You should apply this equivalency certificate by a written application in plain paper with relevant Photocopy or Xerox Copy of Class 10+2 Mark Sheet.
• Equivalency Certificate will be required at the time of admission.
• In case of Foreign National Students Last qualification degrees from foreign board have to apply with previous degrees, mark sheets, Certificates, Syllabus. After Preliminary verification CU will called you for Interview and if qualified in interview the equivalence certificate will be issued by CU. After getting equivalency clearance a provisional list will be prepared for approval of vice chancellor of CU.
• Foreign National who’s last qualifying degree is from Indian Boards and Universities not required any equivalency certificates.

• Marks, seat reservation and fees are applicable are those PWD candidates who have valid certificate with disability 40% or more the competent authority with.
• OBC candidates will be treated as general candidates because Bar Council of India did not approved the enhancement of intake capacity for OBC reservation

• Each Question Carry Equally 1 Marks.


• No Negetive Marking.


• No Online Exam Mode.


• Offline Exam Mode Only.


• Exam Duration 2 Hour 30 Minute.


• Exam Start Time Usually 12 AM as per previous exam timing.


• All Question will be MCQ or Multiple Choice Question Format.


• Blue or Black Ball Point Pen is Mandatory During Examination for OMR sheet Marking.


• Pencil are strictly not allowed, in case of any marking using pencil will rejection of the candidature.


• Calculator, Slide Rule, Books, Mobile Phones, Any Electronic Gadgets inside the Examination Hall are not allowed.
